Beating Heart Of Britian - The NHS Workers

Beating Heart Of Britian - The NHS Workers
( A poem to pay my respect to the NHS for helping us through the Coronavirus 19 pandemic)
Selfless and courageous,
Our NHS workers are our heroes.
The beating heart of Britain,
Saving lives in a time of great crisis.
The virus has hit the hardest,
Merciless, a hidden enemy,
We are fighting with all our might.
Our NHS workers on the front line,
Holding our light.
Holding the nation’s light,
All of them,
Doctors,
Nurses,
Medics,
Scientists,
Porters,
Careworkers,
Cooks and many more,
Helping patients, families and friends,
To fight the darkness evermore.
Alway on standby,
Ready to take action,
24/7 of love and care,
Knowing the vow of life is sacred.
Loving support for the bereaved,
Dignity for those who have passed.
Sharing in our pain and happiness,
Angels of the heart.
Our gratitude is no bounds,
Our clapping for you is endless,
Thankyou to our NHS workers for all you do,
To keeping Britain’s heart beating,
And not let it break in two.

Paradise Bird

aradise Bird

Majestic burgundy beauty,
Sitting with all your golden finery,
On canopy branch of yellow leaves.
Maroon, brown chest of pride,
With a golden crown on your head,
Wearing a emerald choker of varnished green.
A proud stare from those gleaming eyes,
Flaming yellow and white long tail ,
Laid out like flaxen soft hair
Over your soft throned bark.
No less of paradise, no less a creation,
Of an infinite wisdom.

Poems To Mother Earth By Subrata Saha. New free e-book with Smashwords

https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/724171
I have just published my first free e-poetry book Poems To Mother Earth. Its available at Smashwords and can be downloaded to an epub reader. Epub apps can be downloaded on any phone app or computer app. I dreamt of publishing a poetry book at the age of 16. I have now, as an e-book. :0). Obviously in 1990, I had no idea about internet or e-books. But I am pleased to have an e-book. It is not a book of profit but of the soul. I will read out at writers speaker events this summer. Now need to finish writing my novel!
I learnt alot about digital publishing and hope to learn more.
I love you Mother Earth. When you called, my soul came. Along with others, I will help you to heal. Subrata.xxx

Water Purity

Water Purity
Your power is your strength,
Water memories flowing,
Through a tributaries of visions,
Shaping landscapes on your journey.

Ice, liquid, vapour, ice,
Ice blue, ice cold,
Cycles of constant energy,
Of snow-capped mountains,
To brooks,
To streams,
To rivers,
To the the sea of my mind.

Large tree reflected in drop of water,
Rainforests calling out for,
precious liquid of life.
Drumming sounds of rain on leaves,
A delight to the senses.

Intricate abstract designs of snowflakes,
Falling lightly and slowly,
Interlacing white feathers,
Weaving into a coverlet of white softness.

Water shoot high in the sky,
Like a plume of waterful smoke,
Rapids over rocks,
Watersfall flowing over rocks,
Leaving a water curtain,
To hides a cave of secrets.

Water element fill our bodies,
Bathing our magical cells,
A molecule of miracles,
Keeping our inner life force alive.

Healing holy wells of Celtic design,
Blessed by heaven and prayers,
Bless the waters,
Purify the waters,
Honor the giver of life.

Elephant Lullaby By Subrata Saha

Elephant Lullaby

Sleepyhead, sleepy eyes, sleepy smile,
Snuggled against mum,
In tall green grass,
Daytime nap of dreams you desire.

Tuff of hair, playful spout,
Under the waterfall of life,
Rolling in mud...soft and warm.
As you laugh,
With water spray and water fun
In a shower of delight.

Little one plays with others young ones,
Running and grabbing tails,
Trumpeting angriliy
You are indeed are the victor...

Evening descends,
Ganesha is calling,
Your belly rumbles for mama’s milk.
Drink, sleep, sweet dreams baby one,
Let me sing my elephant lullaby to you.

Seahorse Dance By Subrata Saha

Seahorse courtship dance on you tube and my poem on it. As a child and even today, I still love to observe nature and its beauty. Subrata.x

Seahorses Dance

We meet,
Glide up to each other,
In synchronistic movements,
Tails entwined.
Blue waves of sea currents,
Green sea plants swaying to a rhythmic song.
Midnight blue ocean,
Rays of sun trickling through green seaweed.
We touch and caress,
I approach you for our dance.
Sea echoes with classical overtones,
I bow to you.
Our tails bind,
Bodies forms a love shaped heart,
Our lips touch trance,
In a dance of love.

The Strat by Subrata Saha

The Strat

I stand on the Cliffs of Mohar,
Green emerald isle of the sea,
Hearing the ocean crash,
Beautiful notes on a Fend Strat.

She appears in my arms,
His face in the sky,
Celtic long darked haired prince,
Of rock royal blood,
Watching with warm blue eyes.

I hold her close,
I smell her polished wood,
Feel the stripped paint bear of sweat, blood and toil,
Carved out of hands of a great man.

I kiss her rosewood neck,
Touch the worn out strings,
She vanishes from my arms,
And rests in yours.

As I close my eyes
Visions of you playing,
Burning across the sky,
Heaven opens ,I see your smile.

She is home where she belongs,
Home to the one she loves,
Rory,Rory we chant,
Play, play, and play,
Sweet blues, sweet music from our Irish prince.
